Curriculum for Pre-K through 5th gradeGodly play was developed over 30 years ago, and is being taught in many, many churches of various denominations across North America and Europe. Godly Play teaches through storytelling of scripture stories using handmade story figures that encourage children to seek and find answers to their faith questions. Godly Play respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages curiosity and imagination in experiencing the mystery and joy of God.

This Montessori-based religious education program teaches religious language and allows the space for each child to wonder individually about the presence of God in their lives. Spiritual development is fostered through sacred stories, parables, liturgical action stories and silence. Godly Play is different than most other children's curricula. The time-tested wisdom of effective storytelling makes the stories come alive in a circle of community where the children discover much about God and their own faith. Each class session is modeled after the sanctuary Order of Worship and includes a wonder and response time when the children relate the stories to their personal lives and choose how to respond to the lesson through art.

Curriculum for 6th Graders: Wild Truths is a wildly popular and interactive Christian education program for 6th graders across many denominations. The lessons are very age-appropropriate and bring active learning to the foreground. First, creative activities capture interest. A biblical truth is then presented, followed by discussions and activities that explore "What does this mean today?" The lessons close with practical ways to apply and commit to these insights.

Pre-teens are beginning to transition from concrete thinking to more abstract thinking and are beginning to more deeply ask the "why's" behind man of their thoughrs and beliefs regarding God and themselves. With Wild Truths, the kids are actively involved in the respectrul exchange of ideas and experiences.

We know that developing friendships at church directly influences attendance, and considering the many challenges they face in their lives these days, coming to church is a good thing. This upbeat program facilitates an environment where kids that come to church gain friendships and moral and spiritual inspiration that they can take with them out into the world.
